5 Stars: It's a hard thing for a sequel to surpass the original but in this case it did! WOW! I loved this book so much, I couldn't put it down, even as my tired eyes burned and blurred. -Emily 5 Stars: First of all, the cover of this book is gorgeous. I thought the cover of Going Down in Flames was amazing, but this cover is a serious eye catcher. I want to have a poster of it, honestly. To match the cover, the story inside blew me away. Bridges Burned starts off where Going Down in Flames ended. I had no idea what to expect in this book and what I got surprised the hell out of me. I missed Bryn's sassiness and thank god it was back tenfold in Bridges Burned. My heart literally ached for Bryn in this book. I am so attached to her and I shed a lot of tears because of the events in this book. -Ivey Byrd

Ready for #3!

I loved it! I've been hooked since the first book.
I like Bryn so much because she is not perfect, she deals with some tough stuff, sometimes not well. Shes human (well dragon, but you know what I mean), and its easy to relate to her.
I am so mad at Zavien I could kick him! But I am hoping its just him doing something shady to protect Bryn from the other black dragons (but could Nola be anymore annoying?!? Not a fan of hers!). I did miss Merrick in this book, I really like the way he and Bryn get along, and I feel like she needs a powerful friend who actually believes in her, and shows it. Jackson...oh Jackson, I do love how he and Bryn banter around, and I would love to see a genuine friendship growing there. I am hoping this does not become a love triangle between Jackson, Bryn, and Rhianna, that would just sucks because I like the friendship between Bryn and Rhianna. Now Valmont...I am very interested to see where this goes, as Bryn and he explore what their bond is it will be interesting to see if its romantic or just a deep bond of mutual respect, admiration, and love on a purely friendship level. Also, who knew Lilith and Grandma were going to be so cool?? I can't get a read on Grandpa yet, but I am hoping he comes around sooner or later. As usual I really loved the friendship between Ivy, Clint, and Bryn. I am very much looking forward to the third book, I am already bereft not having it!

Interesting mystery

I am trying hard to like this story. I have lost a lot of respect for Bryn. I am almost halfway through the book and she is such a clingy whiner that if things don't turn around I may not finish the story. She seems to require the approval and love of Zavian in order to be valuable as a person. It seems that every thing in her life revolves around him. She chases after him relentlessly. It's sickening. She has become a sorry example for other teen girls to follow. This depiction of love is twisted at best. Will let you know if I can stand to finish this.
I finished the story. Just about the time I was going to delete the story from my kindle, it turned around. She still seems to have to have some guy to be worthy but the rest of this cliffhanger was riveting to me. I give this a 3.5. I am waiting for the next book. If the author wants to edit anything edit out the first half whining.

Bridges Burned was fantastic all them feely feels with this one, I was a mess!
Chris done it again, what a fabulous second story to the Dragon series, Going Down in Flames.
I went from giggling like a 16 yr. old to screaming and pulling my hair, throwing a tantrum in the next, I had a lump in my throat at a lot of parts through this story and I couldn’t put it down.
Bryn and the gang are back, minus the douche Zavien. Yes! I know right? I can’t believe it too I was so team Z then he turned into the person I can’t stand. I was sick to my stomach I didn’t want it to be true, I had such high hopes. But this is what comes with reading young adult DRAAAAMAA!
But we gained a Knight, *sigh* A knight! A freaking knight, which I adore. His name is Valmont and I will get to him soon, I promise!
So returning to school straight after the first one ended, was awesome we just jump right back into the world. Tho I read them all back to back so it felt like one Massive story. Let’s just say the Dragon Society is crazy cool, I love it so much the world building that goes with this series is so wonderful I really love that feeling that you are a part of their world.
In Bridges Burned, Bryn’s love life is a bloody mess, it was a whirlwind of emotions up and down up and down. But we have Clint, Ivy and Valmont… yes book lovers a Knight! He is a big part of this story, well he is a big part of her life as we seen in the last book, the knight bond is in place with her and I love that it was triggered off.
I love him, I love the whole idea of Dragons with their Knights. Flying with them the picture that Chris creates is epic!
I freaking love this series, I love how this book reads we are gifted with a great story teller and this one has it all. With so many funny moments, you know the ones where you are cry/laughing but then we get so many tender rip your heart out and stomp on it moments, they were hard to read. I was not prepared or expecting character’s to die!
