Davide Lanzoni has written an excellent book for both those without previous knowledge and for the skilled with already previous experience on the use of thermography in Building diagnostics.
Besides covering the basic Infrared theory and displaying many images of common building applications like heat losses, moisture, water infiltration, thermal bypass and air leakages the book also deals with other complementary techniques such as Blower Door testing and Heat Flux measurement, techniques that add value to a regular Thermographic inspection.
The book also contains many references to pertinent standards that can help the user of thermographic equipment to understand and evaluate the gravity of the findings.
I recommend the book for self-studies or as a support for Building Applications training. It will make possible to obtain a better use of the many thermal imagers sold today, often with the idea that thermography “is just to take Infrared images”. Thermography is much more, probably the best, quickest and most efficient technique to find construction defects that affect comfort and energy use in Buildings.

Best book for outdoor kiddos

My 10 year old son loved it just like all the other Lucky Luke adventures. These are the only books he wants to read. I hope Kevin writes another one soon so I can keep my son interested in reading. I learn a lot about hunting when we read these together too. Excellent book!!!!

Ansel C. Ugural is a visiting professor of mechanical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. He has held faculty positions at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he has served for two decades as a professor and chairman of the mechanical engineering department. Professor Ugural earned his MS in mechanical engineering and PhD in engineering mechanics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. David Eugene Ray spent most of his life rambling, including a stint in the U.S. Navy and years playing music and Ultimate Frisbee. He has been a school teacher and an educator of the life aquatic. He works in games, movies, short films, television series, and children’s books. He lives in Montevideo, Uruguay.

What a great read to share with a young person

What a great read to share with a young person! The story is funny and engaging, the ending a great little twist with the perfect bit of suspense, and the illustrations throughout are nothing short of charming. Highly recommended for little folks who dream big, love animals, and are truly just learning to be themselves... and for the bigger folks that love them.

Only modern book I've found for Warre beekeeping

You can download Warre's original book for free (translated into English), but this book is the only modern incarnation of the natural beekeeping method. It's chock full of photos and information about what bees need in order to stay healthy.

That said, it's expensive since it's not printed in the US, and it keeps referring you back to Warre's book for more information on managing Warre hives.

"Natural Beekeeping with the Warre Hive" revisited

Pretty much just re-positions much in Heaf's other book and his translation of Abbe Warre's book, which were both excellent. However, I was disappointed that there was not much new in this book and in fact did not have as much information as in his own previous book. For instance, his construction details which were copied from the previous book did not have the Imperial conversions from metric. So if you are to choose which book to get, Heaf's "Natural Beekeeping with the Warre Hive" instead of this one. "The Beefriendly Beekeeper" was harder to get as only English booksellers offered it here in the States when I purchased, so don't bother, especially if you can get his first two books.

The bee-Friendly Beekeeper

Every once in awhile a book comes along that becomes the book that every library on the subject must have- this is one of those books. This is the book for everyone that considers themselves Bee"carers" not just beekeepers. If you truly care about honey bees, I guarantee, you will never be sorry you added this book to your personal library. It is an excellent source of information, not just on keeping bees, but also on the art of being a natural beekeeper. Very detailed in beekeeping with the Warre Hive.
I loaned my first copy to a member of my bee club, it is now making it around the club. I have now blessed that book and sent it on it's way and will be buying a second copy for myself.

Uplifting inspiration for any goal

The meditations and affirmations provided by Amanda can be used for achieving things more mundane than levitation. I don't want to give away all the secrets, but trust me, she is no looney who think levitation is easy. Nor is this stage magic. It is spiritual guidance from a loving soul.
