About the Author
Stephen L. Herman is a retired electrician and teacher with more than 30 years of experience to his credit. A seasoned author, his reader-friendly textbooks on electricity and mathematics are popular with students and instructors alike. For two decades Mr. Herman was lead instructor for the Electrical Technology Curriculum at Lee College in Baytown, Texas, where he received an Excellence in Education Award from the Halliburton Education Foundation. He also taught at Randolph Community College in Asheboro, N.C., for nine years and helped establish an electrical curriculum for Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Wrong on physics, wrong for you to buy.

The book is incorrect about basic physics; whatever else it is, it's wrong, and has not gone through even the most basic fact checks for accuracy; it incorrectly defines physics terms, makes absurdly incorrect claims about electricity bring faster than light, and gets basic definitions wrong. It may be fine for electricians to learn the basics, but everyone should expect more from any textbook.

Avoid this book like the plague!

Please be alerted that the contents in this "textbook" might be horribly wrong and misleading.
For example, it claims electricity is faster than light, which is totally false. And its explanation to the claim is BS at best.
Any student learning science or engineering should avoid this book like the plague.
